Pixie on a fruity sea green potion–The New Anna Sui Secret Wish Fragrance
Posted by roanne in Anna Sui, Beauty Reviews, Fragrance on April 18, 2007
Looking at this perfume’s enchanting vial makes me remember of Tinkerbell, the pixie fairy confidante of Peter Pan. I’m not much into collecting scents because of its hefty cost, but my godmother who came back from the States gave me this.
I was surprised when the girlfriend of my godmother’s younger brother (hope you did follow that
) handed it over to me. I was excepting for a bevy of clothes. But then, I got excited the moment I laid my eyes on its cutesy sea greenish box with a picture of a fairy resembling tinkerbell. This got me surmised that I already have a signature bottle in my hands specially made for this summer!
Lo and behold, the bottle alone is a surefire winner! I so love the ornate design of its bottle that blatantly spells feminine. The entire packaging is girly yet sophisticated. I love its bewitching scent to boot! At first, it smelled like a reminiscent of D&G Light Blue. But after taking some few whiffs, I was beckoned with its heavenly, fruity notes that took me to dreamland. It’s a way yummier than D&G, coz the latter seems to be dedicated for the sporty lass. Anna Sui’s Secret Wish has a lighter, more feminine scent that’s perfect for summer. Unlike those with heavy and musky concoction that stifle me badly by just a spray of it, a spritz goes a long way yet gentle enough to my senses. I as go on and on, smelling myself after application, I just can’t get enough of it. However, I’m not uber satisfied with its staying power, maybe because it was intended not to be too strong and perfect for girls and ladies alike.
And I bet this is a pretty, posh scent that’ll blow your hottie’s mind–taking you in command!

The Pink Lip Tube: Apivita Propoline Lip Aid with Rose & Olive Oil

Last Thursday, I got ahold of this yummy-licious pink tube for FREE when I bought Apivita Propoline Multivitamin Shampoo in Rustan’s. I was madly in love with the color, and yes, I’m one of those mushy girly pink lovers who wants to be surrounded with all things pink!
I was so psyched to try it ASAP. The first thing I noticed upon opening it was its sweet, rosy smell. So, I tried swiping it on my lips. It left me a shiny pucker with a pink sheen. The aroma, on the other hand, was so unbelievable that it stayed and lingered for hours! However, it’s not that moisturizing and didn’t completely calm my weathered lips.
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler : The Best Curlash Ever Made!
Posted by roanne in Beauty Reviews, Eye Care, Makeup Tools, Shu Uemura on April 13, 2007
I have used different brands of curlashes, even the cheap, generic ones, since way back in highschool. Curlashes are either made out of metal or plastic. Their rubber pad varies from silicon to plastic or mere rubber. Nevertheless, I haven’t discovered a curlash that is at par with Shu Uemura’s. I haven’t seen anything performing quite like it!
My amazement in Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler started when I got a Shu Uemura loot on sale [together with Shu's cleansing oil in fresh]. The moment I laid my hands on it, I knew that there was something different from this curlash. As I gave it a try, I instantly felt the tough grip of its silicon rubber pad without pulling off or hurting my lashes. A single squeeze on its tong-like handles made a difference! And that difference took a toll on about a day!
