How to feel & look beautiful? (despite the sweltering weather!)
Filed under: Personal Moods and Product Reviews and Skin Care and Tips

Some people curse Summer. I used to be one of those people who don’t appreciate the humid-free season. But, I finally get used to it in spite of being soaked in sweat every time I travel to the office!

Summer is a season for baring it all! Well, it’s only the season when I can don a skimpy pair of two-piece bikini that exposes much of my skin and head towards the beach for a refreshing swim. It’s also the season for alleviating putting loads of makeup lest I may look cakey and pasty, and religiously wearing a moisturizer with SPF specially in the morning. I’ve been doing a lot of beauty and mantras and ditching the old or seasonal ones (things that I only do during the cold ‘ber season) to make my summer escapade shining through…starting from my facade.

To answer the question, feeling and looking beautiful starts on mustering more confidence that radiates your beauty inside out.

From the outside, it all starts with having beautiful skin ;)

I must admit that I’m not just blemish-free yet, but I have made a lot of improvements to my skin. Yet I believe that you cannot just simply pull off a deep halter top to make an alluring statement if you’ve got a colony of back-nes and chest-nes here and there. That’s kind of awkward to flaunt such getup before the prying eyes of the nasty critiques out there. If you are having a hard time breaking out (pun intended) on breakouts, better consult a good dermatologist first.

For maintenance and more Summer lovin’, here’s to sharing my personal POVs to you :P :

* Pick a sudsy cleanser to effectively buff off dirt, grime and debris.

* Always use sunblock as an armament to battle against the pigmenting and scorching rays of the sun. You don’t wanna end up having multitudes of skin spots that may also signal “skin cancer”! For those who have oily skin, pick a lower number of SPF coz the greater the SPF number, the greasier it gets.

* Zap those brewing zits by all means necessary! There are a variety of zit zappers out there, majority of them have salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, adapalene or sulfur as primary ingredient. Feel free to try out and spot spit those monsters using different formulations one at a time. You may eventually find out your HG blemish nixer in no time. It’s always sexy to flaunt a blemish-free skin that instantly gives a sexy, gorgeous impression.

* Less makeup, Healthier skin. Of course, it always starts by having a makeup that suits your skin type the most. Once set, avoid putting too much gunk on your face. A tinted moisturizer amped with SPF is a 3-in-1 shortcut to your beauty regimen. It serves as a foundation base, a skin moisturizer and a sunblock. Too much makeup makes it harder for your skin to breathe. The result: more probability of clogged pores.

* Highlight your tan by means of bronzer. Shimmer your face and bod with bronzers and highlighters and get the beach goddess look in pronto!

* Indulge yourself by bingeing on loads of ice cream. If you’re on a figure watch, choose something that’s low in fat, or better yet, fat free! You can also try out other cool beverage to soothe your parching throat. :)

* Aside from bathing lavishly at the beach, barge in air-conditioned malls. Going to malls doesn’t actually require hefty shopping. Simply saunter and window-shop while keeping yourself refreshed will make your mall day productive. Now, that’s a winning cheap thrill!

* Find a new hobby. Summer is usually vacation time particularly for students. So, make this bum time even more productive by finding a new hobby that reflects the inner you. Start grabbing a digicam and capture those precious moments right now. Who knows? You might be a budding photographer trapped inside a makeup junkie’s body.

Enjoy summer while it lasts!
