Wonders of Tea Tree Oil

courtesy of herbalremedies.com

Tea tree Oil is most commonly found in Australia. It was believed that it was widely used by the early Aussie Aborigines, mainly because of its antiseptic and anti-fungal properties.

Like the coconut oil, I consider this oil as the universal oil because of its many therapeutic properties. I first sought glance at The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil during the hype of my breakouts back then. For me, the solution was too weak, for it didn’t do much for my acne. Then, I recognized that their essential oil wasn’t really purely essential at all. For a small vial, the tea tree oil is diluted with water.

So there, I wasn’t contented. Recently, I found out that there’s a 100% pure tea tree oil being sold in beauty bar. I got myself a bigger bottle of Tea Tree Theraphy, which is practically cheaper than that of The Body Shop. The line comes with not just merely the tea tree essential oil itself, but also a cream, soap, shampoo, conditioner, douche, lotion and a whole lot more. This made me think for a while, but I finally resort to getting the oil instead.

This time, I use the oil not to cure my acne, since I’m relatively acne free. I rather use it to mitigate swelling due to insect bites, to soothe burnt skin (because of the icky, impish cooking oil) and to relax myself or calm my jarring nerves.

To enumerate the uses of Tea Tree Oil:

* anti-acne
* anti-bacterial
* cures dandruff and other fungal infections
* aromatherapy (due to its camphoric scent)
* soothes burns, insect bites and wounds, rashes, impetigo, boils, sinus problems, sore throat, fingernail and toenail infections.
* nixes tartar and odor causing bacteria (as a mouthwash)
* serves as moisturizer

Go grab yourself a bottle of this magic potion right now!

    Wow, cool. I think I gotta have to check Tiendesitas and conduct a road test if it’s pure. :P

    Actually, using tea tree oil is very easy. You just need a cotton swab to absorb the product and gently dab it on the affected area. :) You may experience stinging or irritation. If so, you can dilute it with water to alleviate or prevent the adverse reaction. Say, for example one part tea tree oil and three parts water.
