Vitamin B5 - A Natural Anti-Acne Oral Medication

I’ve been dreaded for a month of irregular menstruation which resulted to devastating hormonal breakouts–I had it a couple of times in just one month! I have had two ridiculously humongous zits that marred my face by leaving a big dark mote behind. Dang! I swore myself not to encounter multiple cystic zits but to no avail. I’m kind of scared that my horrid skin condition may aggravate to something that many a person doesn’t want to face his/her entire life. :(

I found myself dazed and confused since a trickle of Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion won’t do the job. Good thing, I readily put the Mario Badescu Drying Mask or Nu Skin Epoch Glacial Marine Mud to those brewing zits together with the Buffering Lotion, and walah, the two giants became dwarfies in no time!

In addition, I remembered taking Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) that I haven’t taken for quite a while. I took 1g the first try. Then, 500mg/day after. I noticed that the brewing of zits here and there are mitigated. I’m so happy that I now have control of the situation. I’m still waiting to finish the weekend so that I can finally visit my derma and avail of another tedious and costly treatments. I’m not sure whether I’ll be taking that pricey drug again (Acnetrex [Oral Isotretinoin]). I hope not. :)

Going back to that Vitamin, I actually knew that it has anti-acne effects on the skin when a celebrity host mentioned it one time in a certain show. I immediately took heed of and researched it through the Net. I found out that there was a certain doctor (Dr. Lit-Hung Leung) who conducted the test using high doses of Vitamin B5 to be taken by a number of patients who have moderate to severe acne vulgaris.

The study showed that Vitamin B5 resolves acne by decreasing the pore size and controlling the overproduction of oil glands. It may, afterall, not that as potent as oral isotretinoin. Yet, it’s a natural alternative for those who are badly pestered by acne.

Taking the supplement isn’t enough (for me). That’s why I’m going to schedule an appointment to my favorite dermatologist and undergo treatments to diminish those dark, nasty blemishes asap!

Are you referring to the soap? :) I’m not particular into facial wash. But, I’m more hooked on Mario Badescu or Neutrogena Products.
