Heck, I want to recount my emergency shopping spree for a brand new pair of office footwear.
I said “emergency” since It was unplanned, and I strongly digressed on shopping that day but had no choice. I have been sooo engrossed into wearing Havs since the onset of my “work” life. For a wee backdrop of my autobiography, I’m just your average Pinay commuter who vehemently trudges the road of EDSA-Kamuning, pushes and pounces people at the MRT for five days a week just to take a grueling ride to and fro the office at the quickest time possible. I must say, those dreadful stilettos I’ve been eying for a time at CMG have no place on that killer mob-infused train!
I’ve been happy the way things were going. I wasn’t really a smart casual type of dresser. I’m more of a mere casual type to feel-like-home type (someone who looks like he/she didn’t leave the house). I was so happy I could wear slippers to office withstanding the traffic and long walks. Until…
The new country manager barged in and later announced that wearing slippers is now prohibited.
I was so vexed. Since I had no choice but to follow orders, I immediately thought of getting a pair of decent non-Havs footwear in pronto. So, I went to SM Megamall to shop.
After roughly about 20 mins, I couldn’t find a comfy pair that suits and soothes my feet. I was in the middle of strolling and scouting in search for a good shoe stall where I can grab a perfect pangharabas pair, until I succumbed getting a new pair of Havaianas Slims at Chocolate Clothing Co. I must say, I super duper love the pair I got there (talking about being a flat out obstinate bitch).

With no sigh of relief, I searched and searched for a good find. Nevertheless, I felt a hint of positivity within me since the mall was on sale at that time. I got into stalls with sale items, tried to fit a bevy of prospect office shoes and asked impishly for the saleslady about shoe sizes and availability–all but to no avail! Finally, after two hours of sauntering almost the whole mall, I got a pair of chocolate brown slides with a huge button accent on the the strap from Confetti. I must say, it was the most comfortable non-Havs pair I’ve ever tried during that day.
Ok, it still looks like slippers. The heck, at least it’s not your the usual thong-type of slippers?! And, it ain’t Havs. ![]()

You got White Slim Season! Life is unfair! Hahaha!
