Food Food Food!
Filed under: Cyma and Food and Greenwich and Silvanas

Seafood PastaSophie told me one time that her biggest expense investment is food. I actually ask tips for her regularly about restos in Greenbelt. Mind you, she’s still voluptuously sexy despite her food craving. Aminin!

It’s so much fun whenever Jai and I go resto-hopping. I crave for anything particularly hot/spicy, grilled, seafood, foilage salads, Japanese and Italian, while he craves for anything that’s on the comfort zone–say, Pinoy delicacies specially that of Kare-Kare and Sinigang. I love what he loves, but he doesn’t really love some food that I love though :(. Anyways, at least, we are in unison whenever we barge in restaurants serving local dishes.

kare-karecrispy pata

Kare-kare and Crispy Pata. Jai’s favorites. And oh, Sinigang na Baboy too.

Honestly, I’m not really very particular or finicky with food. I do eat canned sardines, or my lola’s very own style of Spanish sardines. I also eat Tuyo with matching tomatoes on the side. The only taste bud I can hardly bear is something bitter. So, there ya go, I so hate eating ampalaya (bitter melon).

Unlike my mom, I also find Greek dish not my cup of tea. I’m also not a fan of anything curry–specially Thai red curry. :( The latter makes me barf.

Moussaka

Greek Moussaka at Cyma. It’s said to be their national food, but shocks, I kinda dislike it. Nakakaumay… My mom, on the other hand, told me that it’s not how they prepare their Moussaka in Greece. The taste is really different daw.

I have a particular taste in sweets. I love toffee and anything chocolate-y (white, dark, brown–name it). Last time, I recently discovered Go Nuts Donuts newest sumptuous line of cupcakes. They all look adorable, and taste adorable too. Okay, adorable may not be an appropriate adjective to describe “taste”, but lemme just say adorably saccharine sweet. :P

Cupcake Gonuts

Yummy White Chocolate Chiffon Cupcake. When I say yummy, it really is… :P~

SilvanasAnother favorite, Silvanas. It’s like meringue in a cookie form. They got different flavors to choose from–butterscotch, black moon (chocolate), pandan, strawberry, mocha, and so on. Just like meringue, it actually melts delectably in my mouth though it is best served cold lest it may actually thaw at regular tropical temperature just before you devour it.

Right now, I’m looking forward for Greenwich’s latest treat. I think it best suits vegetarians or anyone who wants to go low-carb. I’m so lemming and drooling over their grilled chicken pizza and tuna pasta with black olives right now! The pasta reminds me of my favorite Italian red sauce pasta–Puttanesca. *drools*
