Something Christian Siriano Inspired.

*Lurve, lurve, lurve the ruffled jacket-belt ensemble!*
Christian Siriano, the youngest of Fashion Runway’s Season 4 contestants, has been my favorite among others. It wasn’t such a surprise when I found out that he’s this season’s big winner. I love his bold, ruffled avant-garde pieces. So one time, I decided to sketch something that’s Siriano inspired (from his Fall 2008 collection). Read the rest of this entry »
Lusting for Valentino Pret-a-Porter 2008 Autumn/Winter Collection at the Paris Fashion Week.

The recent Paris Fashion Week graced style and glamor as top designers presented their brandishing fab collections for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter 2008. Some are hot, while others are kinda eccentric and inexplicable.
Valentino caught most of my attention. Since one of my favorite designers has just retired, Alessandra Facchinetti made a great job as she filled in his shoes and designed the pret-a-porter collection for this year’s Fall/Winter–which did not fail to be lavishly posh and elegant. Looks like dark tinged hosiery and high-heeled platforms are still in. The House of Valentino’s structured jackets are so lovely to use as office wear, while the dresses really spell ethereal. Truly, every piece is timeless and a cult favorite, so does the retired designer *sob*. Au Revoir, Valentino!
Here are some pieces I truly admire: (All images taken from Style.com)
