Sibling Binge @ Burgoo

Note: This happened precisely a year ago. My brothers got fat. I got fat. But one thing remains the same, we all love to hog.

I feel like blogging today. I just had my ultimate dinner at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf with officemates. I got myself a healthy plate of chicken Caesar salad. It’s not that I’m on a diet, but friend M swore that it really tastes great that’s why I tried it. The verdict: it’s okay. I got full in an instant! Yet, I think KFC salads work better for me ‘coz they got a stronger flavor.

Enough gab, this post is not meant for my dinner a while ago. I just happened to grab some food (which I shared it with my other two coworkers) last week at Burgoo in Podium. I held on the menu, leafed it, and squinted at the content. I was looking for this certain dish I ordered a year ago, and I didn’t find it there.

To kill your curiosity, I was looking for their Angus Steak with Grilled Ratatouille and Mashed Potato. Idk why they’d phase it out. Maybe it’s too expensive and no one orders it. But believe me, shelling out about about a thousand pesos on this dish is really worth it. I love everything included in this meal.

I had a Medium Rare Steak and was quite satisfied by the taste and texture. The Grilled Ratatouille made the whole meal perfect ‘coz all the vegies and stuff were impeccably grilled! I love it to bits. If I were a peasant, I’d love to have this as my everyday meal (Ratatouille is a famous French dish which was originally known as Peasants’ Meal. An ingenuity for the affluent’s leftovers). Mashed Potato has always been my signature favorite in lieu of rice.

And here went my siblings. We relished and devoured my Burgoo treat. It wasn’t that cheap-o but was well worth it. :)
