For someone who has a broken heart, Valentine’s day is sorely filled with sorrow. Lots of single people I know are moping for not having a date on that very said day. I say, WTF? Feb 14 is not only just a day when you’re required to have a romantic date with your significant other. It’s generally a “love” day, and that you should be celebrating with all the people you endear the most–your family, for instance.

I believe that there’s nothing to fret about this day. It’s weird that people are making a big fuss over it. Anyhoo, to kill the inner anti-Cupid me, I find people more thoughtful and enamored during the love month. It’s nice to see people buying cheesy romantic stuff for their special someone–say, flowers and sweets. There’s something in this month that makes the sparks fly…that makes everybody happy.

Unfortunately, for some us, it’s not really a time to overly celebrate. Well, it’s not the shallow things you think of, like not having a special someone to celebrate with. Another HS classmate and confidante passed away recently. The news is truly dumbfounding, I know. It’s like a nightmare that’s happening all over again. Read the rest of this entry »
