Stops @ Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
Posted by roanne in Amsterdam, Netherlands on June 4th, 2009
At first, I didn’t seem to like the idea of spending hours in an airport, ‘coz time flies so slow when you’re bored, right?
But, I didn’t expect staying in Schiphol can be this enjoying–well at least, for a busy airport like this.
Inside the Terminal

*Inside the Terminal*
Schiphol looks like SM Megamall with a quick stare. Well, it kinda looks like an enlarged SM Megamall should I say. Going from terminal to terminal is easy, thanks to the moving walkways and lifts available.
The airport is so huge, that it never goes overcrowded IMO.
See, Buy, Fly
No one will have problems shopping inside Schiphol, ‘coz there are plenty of shops available. They’re just scattered everywhere in sight! From Hermes, YSL & Louis Vuitton to Kipling, Samsonite & Longchamp, you’d never run out of luxe items to see!

Dining
Just like shops scattered around, food choices are also omnipresent in Schiphol. I got a yummy tall caramel macchiato in Starbucks for around € 4. Friend and colleague M got a quarter pounder meal in McDonald’s for about € 7.50. Most of the foods available are mainly European. Pastries are so French-y! Though, water and other beverages are definitely expensive at around € 3-5!
*Food Lounge & Vending Machines*

*Really huge looking Chupa-chups. M and I passed by it while heading to our terminal. Thus, we learned that it’s just a container, and there are like 15 lollipops inside it*

*Apple-Walnut Tart I bought from a French pastry store for € 4. The tart’s indeed huge that I had yet to consume it while traveling to Ghent!*
