Maguindanao Massacre: Nazi Style.
Posted by roanne in Maguindanao, Philippines on November 24, 2009
I’m deeply saddened by what happened recently in Maguindanao as around 50 people, composed of politicians, journalists and civilian supporters of Esmael Mangudadatu, were brutally killed by around 100 gunmen linked to a rival political clan. More story here.
Whoever did this must be a staunch worshiper of him:

This kind of heinous, merciless crime just for the sake of “political survival” should be condemned and not tolerated. The government must be earnest in quickly resolving this issue, though I have certain doubts that the present government will take the necessary action. Those who are answerable must be severely punished by the rule of law. There is no room for impunity!
Justice should be served in the proper court. It does not warrant another bloodshed.
This suddenly reminds me of “The Holocaust”. So sad, I couldn’t even bear to watch it fully.
CK Free Event at BMW Autohaus
Posted by roanne in BMW, Calvin Klein, Events, Fragrance, Fragrances, Jamie Dornan, fashion on November 21, 2009

Last Wednesday, friend T and I trudged our way from our office building to BMW Autohaus for the CK Free Event. I would have caught up with blogger friend S, but she couldn’t make it that day.
Anyhoos, the event started of course with the emcee introducing the brand. (Okay, I wasn’t paying attention then, that’s why I didn’t get her name).

The emcee called up the president of Luxasia. After which, the new senior product manager was introduced, and so the advert was finally put into play.

Luxasia Sr Product Manager Ella Reyes and the emcee as they discussed about CK’s new fragrance.
The models “strutted” their stuff:

BMW also launched their latest model in the Philippines — The BMW Z4 Roadster. This two-door convertible sports coupe arrived in a stylish flair, flaunting its ability to automatically close the roof as well as the compartment.
T and I had a look-see on the car. It’s really quite a piece of art! I love the interior just as I love the exterior. T went inside the car for a better feel.

My grainy pic didn’t do justice. The car’s really “muy guapo” in person!
The event won’t be complete without the booze wine courtesy of Casillero del Diablo, and some pica-pica from Zeno bar.
More on CK Free
CK Free, the new men’s fragrance from Calvin Klein, is inspired by the spirit of the modern, independent man who lives everyday to the fullest. It has an aromatic warm woody fragrance, unexpectedly fresh, yet casual and distinctly masculine.
Here’s the CK Free US Commercial:
If you’re curious about the model, meet Jamie Dornan.

Oh Tavi, Tavi, Tavi!

Tavi wearing tie-eyed Proenza Schouler in hues of green
I must admit that I’m turning into a fan of this uber cute 13-year-old fashion prodigy. She really writes so well, and has an exquisite taste for fashion. She usually styles up donning her family’s vintage hand-me-downs plus designer’s gifts[!] with her now-pixie cut androgynous hair ‘do and clear spectacles. She’s even asked by one London-based fashion house to collaborate with them, designing her own iconic “Tavi” tee.

Grabe, with such a young age, she’s making her way into the fasyon industry. I could never be this envious!
