Last Wednesday, friend T and I trudged our way from our office building to BMW Autohaus for the CK Free Event. I would have caught up with blogger friend S, but she couldn’t make it that day.

Anyhoos, the event started of course with the emcee introducing the brand. (Okay, I wasn’t paying attention then, that’s why I didn’t get her name).

The emcee called up the president of Luxasia. After which, the new senior product manager was introduced, and so the advert was finally put into play.

The models “strutted” their stuff:

BMW also launched their latest model in the Philippines — The BMW Z4 Roadster. This two-door convertible sports coupe arrived in a stylish flair, flaunting its ability to automatically close the roof as well as the compartment.

T and I had a look-see on the car. It’s really quite a piece of art! I love the interior just as I love the exterior. T went inside the car for a better feel.

The event won’t be complete without the booze wine courtesy of Casillero del Diablo, and some pica-pica from Zeno bar.

Aside from Calvin Klein, he also appeared on other ad campaigns such as Dior, Aquascutum, Dolce and Gabbana, Levis and Armani.

Going back, the latest CK Free Ad didn’t appeal to me very well, particularly that of the poster. It makes Jamie’s nose look big and bent more on the left. Weird Concept. Bad Lighting.

The perfume wasn’t that bad. It smells good, though my heart still goes to CK One and Eternity.
On the other hand, this ad looks just as much “more free”:

I’m not a fan of flower-infused scents ‘coz most of the time they stifle me to death. Most perfumes are so overpowering, they smell like Baygon to me.

But, Lanvin Eclat D’ Arpege is a way different.

Amidst having a hard time pronouncing this sumptuous scent from the house of Lanvin (pronounced as “Lan-van” just like Clarins), I mustered my dire hesitation on road-testing this scent and asked the saleslady to try it on me. So, she sprayed twice on my wrist where the pulse point is located. I am not sure why perfumes must be sprayed on pulse points, but maybe because those points hold the scent longer and make it linger more throughout the day. Going back, I tried taking a few sniffs. I was immediately in love with the scent the first try!

The scent is not overpowering at all, so my sensitive nose can have a rest. It has a light yet sophisticated floral scent that’s perfect for women of all ages. The blend of various floral concoctions really does have a perfect outcome-something that I don’t expect! To top it off, its lovely plum orb decanter with a gold Lanvin insignia and a luxurious atomizer embellished with gold rings (similar that of a light bulb) graces my eyes as if it delivers some statement-a statement to stand out.

I recommend this for those who want to have an everyday pick-me-up scent to amp up their already-polished wardrobe. I assume that even those with delicate tastes will fall for this posh potion.

Back to the topic, I chanced upon grabbing this toner from Bath & Body Works when my cousins brought it with them coming back to the Philippines. I was extremely giddy as soon as I saw it coz of its candy colored bottle (actually it’s fuschia!). And what’s more exciting is that its light, totally tropical scent is really perfect for the country’s akin climate.

According to the bottle, it is scented with a fresh blend of mango, peach and papaya. Since I’m an avid fan of floral or fruity scents, I immediately love it! I’m mesmerized with its fruity notes, especially that of mango. Even my batchmates when we had a get-together last week were so curious about it, they eventually spritz and spritz it on notwithstanding the femme scent (yes, they’re males)! For me, it ain’t too saccharine sweet or bitterly musky, so this is a perfect summer scent that would go for anybody.

Don’t be fooled with its girly girl bottle, coz this potion’s teemed with 236 ml of yummy fruity concoction that won’t hurt your budget!

Get scent, go!

I was surprised when the girlfriend of my godmother’s younger brother (hope you did follow that ) handed it over to me. I was excepting for a bevy of clothes. But then, I got excited the moment I laid my eyes on its cutesy sea greenish box with a picture of a fairy resembling tinkerbell. This got me surmised that I already have a signature bottle in my hands specially made for this summer!

Lo and behold, the bottle alone is a surefire winner! I so love the ornate design of its bottle that blatantly spells feminine. The entire packaging is girly yet sophisticated. I love its bewitching scent to boot! At first, it smelled like a reminiscent of D&G Light Blue. But after taking some few whiffs, I was beckoned with its heavenly, fruity notes that took me to dreamland. It’s a way yummier than D&G, coz the latter seems to be dedicated for the sporty lass. Anna Sui’s Secret Wish has a lighter, more feminine scent that’s perfect for summer. Unlike those with heavy and musky concoction that stifle me badly by just a spray of it, a spritz goes a long way yet gentle enough to my senses. I as go on and on, smelling myself after application, I just can’t get enough of it. However, I’m not uber satisfied with its staying power, maybe because it was intended not to be too strong and perfect for girls and ladies alike.

And I bet this is a pretty, posh scent that’ll blow your hottie’s mind–taking you in command!
