Gadgety Weekend: Skull Candy + Transformers

Skull Candy TI Headphones

Last Saturday, my feverish lust for getting a pair of smashing Skull Candy DJ headphones was finally fulfilled–and more than satiated! 
I was actually thinking of getting myself a GI in Winter or Desert Camo, or a very girly TI in pink fur. But, I gave in and settled for a Skull Candy TI in classic black.
Well, it ain’t bad coz I got my TI for a price of a GI (TI’s are normally a bit more expensive than GI’s). But, I won’t ever mind shelling out additional 10 bucks for a price of a TI if I’d be snagging this one Tokidoki–talking about coolness!

Oh well, it seems like I’m gonna look forward into getting it as soon as stocks are available in the Philippines.
T-T-Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
*Optimus Prime and Jetfire combined!*
I know, I know. The picture itself is worth a spoiler! My amazement goes to this scene from the much awaited Transformers 2. Shortly after getting my headphones with friend M, former office mates F, H, B, C and myself headed to Eastwood Cinemas to watch the robot-infused flick. Okay, so it was just weird seeing Megan Fox looking clean and hot throughout the movie (no unkempt hair look, not a single mote or stain in the face), whilst Shia and his ‘rents were all dirty and sodden.
But hey, the highlight of the story are, uhm, the autobots and the decepticons–particularly Optimus Prime and the Fallen. 
**Missing plot spotted though. Whatever happened to the twin robots (Mudflap and Skids) undauntedly fighting against Devastator???
Curious over Slumdog Millionaire.

After watching “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” last night, I resolved to look for more flicks to watch. And yes, I just remember about the Golden Globe Awards being held recently. So, I took a few clues from there.
Speaking of curiosity, the movie Slumdog Millionaire piques my curiosity above all else. It’s a rags-to-riches story of an indigent Indian orphan whose life has been changed by joining in a local TV game show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire? I ought not to read the rest, lest I might get some spoilers which will make watching it less exciting. Read the rest of this entry »
The Dark Knight : Why So Seriously Watch?

Disclaimer: I’m not really good into writing movie reviews so please bear with me.
It’s The Dark Knight‘s second day of showing. Here I am, still as ecstatic as I was two days ago. Because of my feverish excitement for this Batman movie sequel, I chanced upon getting tickets in advance to watch it as soon as it’s shown lest movie houses might run out of tickets on the exact showing day.
And folks, this movie is currently topping the box office and promises to set up a new record, beating other superhero movies like Spider-Man 3 which currently holds the biggest gross opening sales! To add, it’s currently rated 9-point-something out of 10 in the Internet Movie Database, taking the 3rd spot on IMDB’s Top 250 movies (currently raking the number 1 spot).
The movie really proves that it’s beyond hype, and that the late great Heath Ledger will be surely missed as “The Joker”. For me, it’s really The Joker’s film more than Batman’s. He effectively reprised Jack Nicholson‘s role, much to everyone’s surprise. Christian Bale‘s characterization of Batman wasn’t bad at all, albeit he didn’t stand out as much as Ledger did.
