Sutemos + Leon Somov Feat. Jazzu

Happy April Fool’s Day yesterday! Yes, my kinda day has passed, and I’m now lounging like a couch potato on my bed amidst a lazy Saturday afternoon. I’m about to post something related to my Vigan trip, but I’m too lazy to select pictures. Hence, it’d be reserved for tomorrow.

For audiophiles and/or music junkies like me, I’m pretty sure you’ve heard about Sutemos, a Lithuanian music site that features awesome royalty-free compilations of local electronic artists. If not, then I’m happy to share with you some of my online treasure finds, and I hope you’re happy, too. :)

Most of the tracks are ambient in nature, and one of my current digs is Leon Somov’s Offline EP compilation (Sutemos018). You can also try Sutemos021 for the remixes.

Here’s something worth tuning in:

Born this way.

If you really wanna be popular, then YouTube is your ticket to fame. Watch Maria Aragon as she sings and plays Lady Gaga’s Born This Way. This girl got some serious talent.

So there. It really doesn’t matter whether you’re a 5-year-old kid or a 60-year-old kid at heart. Never ever cease to dream! :)

The King of Limbs > Lotus Flower > Roll’d.

After a month of bracing silence comes something new and noteworthy that popped up a few days back from Radiohead’s Dead Air Space. If you’ve been a fan of the band for a long time since the dawn of Pablo Honey, then you’re a lucky, lucky soul. And for sure, You’ve already heard about the release of their latest album “The King of Limbs”, downloaded it and would prolly be playing it on loop in your iPod savouring all the eight tracks for a week or two.

They’ve also recently released a music video of their latest single, Lotus Flower. Well, the dancing reminds me of Ian Curtis (Joy Division), except that he [Ian] was actually having convulsions.

Slowly we unfurl
As lotus flowers
‘Cause all I want is the moon upon a stick
I dance around a pit
The darkness is beneath
I can’t kick your habit
Just to feed your fast ballooning head
Listen to your heart

Radiohead – Lotus Flower

Someone must have been very bored with his life, and made a hilarious mashup of Thom Yorke vs Rick Astley. Enjoy! Read the rest of this entry »
